Audience
Directly employed hospital maintenance staff within estates and facilities responsible for conducting daily and weekly PPMs and providing first line response to medical gas pipeline system faults and alarm conditions. Aimed at those with a limited responsibility within the role of Comptent Person, involvement is typically (not exclusively) restricted to visual PPMs, minor plant repairs and replacement / repair of second fix terminal unit.
Objective
Equip participants with the fundamental knowledge of medical gas safety and principles of supply for a pipeline systems. Increase technical knowledge of system familiarity and importance of patient safety. Learn and develop practical skills to safely conduct daily / weekly PPMs and replace and repair a second fix terminal unit on live medical gas system.
Course Overview
Accredited 1 day training course, including tuition, course workbook and digital course notes. Delivered with a combination of theoretical & practical work & scenario based projects. Assessment via practical replacement of terminal unit at 400kpa, workbook and technical awareness exam.
